His wife gives birth to two sons whom he take care of equally without any biasing.
But once the children become adults, they feel their father is an illiterate country man of no use.
And there they live their final days.
And one day the elder son, who works in a factory as a layman, comes back to the father asking his share of property.
When the father tries to dissuade him, he blames his father for showing partiality to his younger brother, thereby making him a computer engineer, while he cudnt get a white collar job.
That was more than what the father could take.
Soon the father leaves his home.
The next day he is found dead, hit by a vehicle.
The movie has a unique colour treatment by director cheran.
Normally when a flashback sequence is shown, it is shown in black and white, while the present time in colour.
But in this movie, all the flashback sequences are in colour while the present time is in black and white.
Cheran didnt explain the reason for this, though from the movie, i believe he tries to say that the most colourful part of his life was his days in the village rather than the city life.
